Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is likely to miss the rest of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League due to a shoulder injury.

His absence could be a huge blow to the two-time champions as the West Indian was an integral part of the side.

Ahead of Monday’s match against Delhi Daredevils, Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said Bravo could miss "four to five weeks" of IPL-7 after a bad fall in the last game.

"Sad that he won't be part of the dressing room, hope he recovers soon," Dhoni said.

Bravo suffered the injury while fielding during Kings XI Punjab's innings last Friday.

He took a tumble at point region in the 11th over and got injured as he unsuccessfully tried to stop a switch hit by Glenn Maxwell, off Ravichandran Ashwin’s last delivery of the 11th over.

He left the field and was reportedly taken to a local hospital to ascertain the seriousness of the injury.

Rajasthan Royals' young batting star Sanju Samson says the loss to Kings XI Punjab in Sunday's Indian Premier League in Sharjah, was painful.

Samson's 52 was overshadowed by Glenn Maxwell's blazing knock of 89 as Kings XI chased down a formidable 193-run target with eight deliveries to spare.

"I have always loved to play for Rajasthan Royals and I am very happy that I contributed from my end to help the team get to a formidable total. But it hurts that we lost the match after playing so well," the right-hander said.

He refused to blame the bowlers for the defeat despite Kings XI Punjab recovering from a horror start thanks to aggressive half-centuries from Maxwell (89) and David Miller (51).

"The wicket was supportive to the batsmen and the match was always alive even after getting 190-plus on the board." Sanju Samson told the IPL's official website.

"It was that kind of day for our opposition when everything went their way, and credit to them for the way they played," he added.

The 19-year-old Kerala batsman said he felt happy to contribute to his team's cause but pointed out that his main aim in this year's IPL is to stay at the wicket till the end.

"This year, I want to finish more games for the Rajasthan Royals. I want to play according to my game plan. I have been successful in doing that so far. I am playing according to the opposition and choosing the bowlers that I want to attack," he said.

Asked about his gameplan, Samson said, "I always try to dominate the bowlers and I am an aggressive batsman. Tonight, I felt like being aggressive while batting and was hungry for some runs and I got that. I always try to gauge my innings and play according to the situation. I play according to the field and according to the bowler I am facing. Tonight was no different."
