The hero of Australia’s Ashes whitewash, David Warner, rubbed salt into the wounds the England team with his picture sleeping with the urn.

The hard-hitting opener was the leading run scorer, hitting 523 at 58.11 in a breakout series.

The 27-year-old opener turned a reformed boy with his superlative performance.

The Metro described the pictures as ‘Warner's Ashes threesome’ - him, the urn and the baggy green.

On the field Warner looked like mature cricketer and only let his bat answer the critics.

It seems Australia have found an attacking opener to fill the shoes of Matthew Hayden.
