India, chasing 304 runs for their first victory on the tour, were dismissed for 216 in 49.4 overs and lost by 87 runs, and series 0-4.

It is a commendable achievement by the wicketkeeper-batsman who comes in lower down the order.

The three men ahead of him in the illustrious list are compatriots Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and West Indies legend Lara, all of whom batted in the top three.

Dhoni, who scored 47 in the match, took 214 innings to attain the landmark.
