India's physically challenged team win T20 series against Pak

The Indian physically challenged cricket team clinched the three-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan 2-1 despite losing the final match at Roshanara Cricket Ground, in New Delhi, on Monday.

Pakistan won the third match in super over by thrilling eight runs.

Welcoming the initiative, senior Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) functionary and Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Rajeev Shukla called for more such tournaments between both the sides.

"This is cricket based on humanitarian ground which has taken place and it is a good an endeavor being made by the organizers from both the sides. This kind of initiatives should always be on and everybody should support them," said Shukla.

Shukla said that they would take up the matter for the affiliation of India physically challenged team to the BCCI, adding that the President Shashank Manohar will take a call accordingly.

Meanwhile, Ravi Chauhan, who is the founder general of the Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India, said that Shukla has assured them of taking up the matter in the BCCI.

Chauhan stated that Physically Challenged Cricket teams of England and Pakistan are affiliated by their respective boards, and opined that it would be a great upliftment for their physically challenged team if it too gets the recognition.
