New Zealand’s left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori says he will hang his boots after the World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

New Zealand, who made it to their maiden World Cup final by beating South Africa by four wickets on Tuesday, will face either India or Australia who play the other semi-final on Thursday.

According to the Daily Mail, Vettori said it is "pretty obvious" that Sunday will be his final ODI for his nation.

"It's not what I'm thinking about," Vettori was quoted as saying in an interview to Daily Mail.

"It's about enjoying the game, enjoying the build-up to a World Cup final," he added.

Vettori was 18 years old when he made his New Zealand debut against Sri Lanka in 1997.
