Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Anurag Thakur and IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla deposed before the Supreme Court appointed Justice (Retd) RM Lodha Commission on the possible reforms that the board is expected to carry out once the second part of report is released.

It is learnt that both the senior officials of the BCCI have had "fruitful discussions" with the three-member panel comprising of Justice (Retd) Lodha, Justice (Retd) Ashok Bhan and Justice (Retd) RV Raveendran.

In fact, Thakur deposed to the committee in the morning on the possible recommendations on the reforms in BCCI.

"I met the Lodha commission today in the morning. Had a meeting with them for an hour. It was a very fruitful meeting is all I can say," Thakur said on the sidelines of South Africa's warm-up game against India ‘A’.

When asked if Lodha Committee's reforms will be binding on the BCCI, a smiling Thakur said, "Let's wait for the report to come out and then we can talk about it. In any case, we had already decided that the first part of the Lodha Committee recommendations will be applied in toto."

IPL chairman Shukla deposed before the committee in the afternoon.

Earlier in July, the Lodha Committee recommended two-year suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

Tainted CSK Team principal and ICC chairman N Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was handed a life-ban for indulging in illegal betting activity during 2013 IPL along with former Rajasthan co-owner Raj Kudra.
