Arjun NairIndian origin spinner Arjun Nair has been named in Cricket Australia’s 18-member National Performance Squad for the upcoming Quadrangular Winter 'A' Series, which will also feature India ‘A’, Australia ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’, starting August 13.

The 18-year-old carrom-ball spinner, who plays for New South Wales, is part of Australia's Under-19 squad.

Sean Abbott, who debuted in Australia's T20 International side represented the Sydney Sixers in the KFC Big Bash League, is the most experience player in the squad with 31 First Class appearances for New South Wales.

Graeme Hick, who has been named coach along with Ryan Harris, says the side picked will be competitive and looking to claim victories across the month-long series.

"Although the team’s success won’t be measured by win-loss ratio, we still expect this side to be competitive and with the talent in the team, a victory along the way isn’t out of the question,” Hick said.

"Alongside the Australia A squad, these players are the future of Australian cricket and we are excited to see the progress they make in this important tournament."
