South Africa opener Jacques Kallis is hit by a delivery from New Zealand bowlers Ian Butler during the ICC World Twenty20 Group D match at Lord's on Tuesday.

South Africa went on to beat New Zealand by one run.

The pace bowler pitched the ball up and Smith couldn't connect the ball as he attempted an on-drive only to see his middle and leg stumps shattered.

Duminy (29) hit a couple of sixes towards the end to prop up the South African innings but fell trying to hit one too many.

New Zealand suffered a setback early on when they lost Martin Guptill (6) and Neil Broom (1) cheaply.

Kallis dives in front to take a catch just an inch off the ground to dismiss Neil Broom off his own bowling.

Broom unsuccessfully tried to pull the short delivery that hit the shoulder of the bat and Kallis showed great skills to grab the chance.
