The all-rounder, who opened the innings, also had a good run with the bat, scored 256 runs, at an average of 42.66 per innings from six matches, with 93 being his highest score. He was deservedly named Man-of-the-Series.
The Queenslander was third in the Australian run-scorers' list, behind vice-captain Hussey (313) and skipper Ricky Ponting (267).
Australia pacers Doug Bollinger and Mitchell Johnson scalped nine wickets apiece and were placed second and third respectively among wicket-takers from both sides. Bollinger bagged five for 35, while Johnson picked three for 39 in the sixth ODI in Guwahati to help Australia clinch the series.
