Dalmiya re-elected CAB president

JAGMOHAN DALMIYA was re-elected president of the Cricket Association of Bengal at its annual general body meeting.

Dalmiya is also president of the International Cricket Conference.

Nirmal Mukherjee and Debdas Bannerjee were re-elected joint secretaries, and Bablu Koley treasurer, in a clean sweep for the Dalmiya group.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO make paralysed Chinese gymnast Sang Lan's dream come true when the Titanic heart-throb visited the paralysed gymnast in hospital, and spent an hour with her.

Sang, who suffered severe spinal cord damage when she landed on her head while practising the vault during the Goodwill Games in Uniondale in July, had requested a meeting with the star, and DiCaprio promptly obliged.

DIEGO MARADONA hit the headlines yet again, this time of his own making when he decided to sue the wife of close friend and former team-mate Claudio Caniggia for saying he is in love with her husband.

Maradona's lawyer, Guillermo Coppola, said the lawsuit stems from Mariana Nannis' comments calling Maradona a homosexual for the kisses on the lips he used to give Caniggia after one of them scored a goal.

"At times, I believe Diego is in love with my husband," Caniggia's wife said in course of a TV interview earlier this year. "It must be the long hair and big muscles."

"Nannis was always against the friendship between Diego and Claudio," Coppola said.
