20 Cup probables by January

India will submit a list of 20 players for the World Cup cricket championship in England to the ICC by January next, according to BCCI president Raj Singh Dungarpur.

Dungarpur further said that at least two more preparatory camps are being planned, for January and April next year.

To help the players acclimatise themselves to the conditions in England, the team would reach there at least a fortnight ahead of the competition, in which India would be trying to regain the Cup which they had won just once in 1983, under the stewardship of celebrated all rounder Kapil Dev. That edition of the competition was also held in England.

Meanwhile, the technical committee of the BCCI will meet at Bangalore on September one. Among other things, the recent ICC recommendations on the rules of the game were likely to be discussed for implementation from this domestic season.
