Kaif to lead for u-19World Cup

Mohammad Kaif of Uttar Pradesh will lead the Indian team for the under-19 World Cup 2000, to be held in Sri Lanka from January 10-28. Punjab's Reetinder Sodhi will be his deputy.

Former Test cricketer Roger Binny has been named coach of the team while Dr. G. Nandhakumar will be the manager.

India have been grouped alongwith Bangladesh, New Zealand and Holland in group B for the preliminary league.

The groups are:
Group A: England, Zimbabwe, West Indies and America
Group B: India, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Holland
Group C: South Africa, Pakistan, Kenya and Nepal
Group D: Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Namibia
