Deodhar Trophy fixtures

The Deodhar Trophy inter-zonal one-day cricket championship begins in West zone from January 19. In the opening round West Zone will take on North at Rajkot while holders Central Zone take on East Zone at Baroda.

The five zones -- defending champions Central, West, South, North and East --will play each other once and the team with the most points will emerge the champions.

The matches will be played in two states, Gujarat and Maharashtra, with each of the five associations hosting two matches apiece. Two matches each will be played in Rajkot (Saurashtra), Baroda (Baroda Cricket Association), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Mumbai (Mumbai Cricket Association) and Pune (Maharashtra).

Central Zone, after their opening tie in Baroda will play North at Pune on January 25, South in Mumbai on January 28 and West again in Mumbai on January 31.

At the end of the Deodhar Trophy the national selectors will pick the teams for the Challenger day\night Trophy to be played between India, India A and India B in Ahmedabad from February 10-13.

The following are the fixtures for Deodhar Trophy:
January 19: West vs North at Rajkot and Central vs East at Baroda.
January 22: South vs West at Rajkot and North vs East at Baroda.
January 25: South vs East at Ahmedabad and Central vs North at Pune.
January 28: West vs East at Ahmedabad and South vs Central at Mumbai.
January 31: West vs Central at Mumbai and South vs North at Pune.
