Indian colts score fourth victory

Middle order batsman P J Das cracked a sparkling, unbeaten 107 to help India crush Sri Lanka by 90 runs in the inaugural Asian Cricket Council under-15 tournament in Malaysia on Tuesday.

Sri Lanka won the toss and put India in. The Assam-based Das, who came to the wicket with the score reading 22 for one, slammed six fours and four sixes and added 148 runs for the third wicket with Sushil Kumar (54, with four fours and one six).

The Indians made a healthy 237 for five off their 40 overs, with Hyderabad-based A T Rayudu making a stylish 37.

In reply, the Lankans could muster just 147 for nine off their 40 overs. The chief wicket takers for the Indians were Assam's M Talukdar (three for 24) and Uttar Pradesh's S Dixit (two for 15).

The victory was India's fourth in a row.
