The All India Football Federation has banned Haywards Sporting Clube de Goa coach Clifford Chukwuma from sitting on the team bench and performing any football-related activity because of his conduct at last week's National Football League match in Mumbai.

The notice, delivered to Haywards Sporting Clube secretary, states that Clifford abused match officials, threatened them and incited spectators, resulting in stone-pelting and assault on match officials after the team's match against Mahindra United at the Cooperage in Mumbai on Sunday.

AIFF sources said the notice also states that Haywards Sporting supporters had manhandled the fourth official. They added the miscreants are being identified from the photographs which appeared in Mumbai newspapers and other material, which will be submitted by the local organising committee.

The sources also pointed out that the behaviour of Haywards Sporting supporters will attract sanctions on the club as provided in Article 50 of FIFA disciplinary code.

Haywards Sporting has been issued a show cause notice in this regard and given seven days to reply to the same.
