Sporting Clube pips JCT

Sporting Clube De Goa pipped Punjab's premier soccer outfit JCT Mills, Phagwara by a solitary goal in a 16th round clash of the ninth National Foodball League in Ludhiana on Friday.

The all important goal was scored by the Goans' star Nigerian recruit Macpherlin Dudu in the 20th minute through a fine header.

With today's win, Sporting took their tally to 32 points to remain second in the league behind defending champions East Bengal while JCT remained on 22 points.

Dudu, who has now scored 13 goals in the NFL, was declared man of the match.
