Juventus's outstanding playmaker Pavel Nedved was voted Czech player of the year for the fourth time.

The 32-year-old culled 4,817 points in a vote taken by Czech players and coaches with Liverpool striker Milan Baros coming second on 4,216 points.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech was third with 3,636 points.

All three players were impressive in the Czech Republic's march to the Euro 2004 semi-finals, where they lost to eventual champions Greece on a golden goal.

Nedved - who has since retired from international football - previously won the award in 1998, 2000 and 2003.

National team coach Karel Bruckner was voted coach of the year while Sparta Prague striker Tomas Jun was named young player of the year.
