JCT Mills beat Salgaocar Sports Club 3-1 in a National Football League match at Guru Nanak stadium in Ludhiana on Saturday.

After a barren first half, JCT's Hardeep Gill opened the account in the 54th minute and 20 minutes later Sukhjinder increased the lead with an impressive goal from out side the box.

Sukhjinder did not give any chance to Salgaocar's goalkeeper Juje Siddi to even reach near the ball.

In the 86th minute, Salgaocar reduced the margin through Bernard Pires who scored from a penalty.

JCT increased the lead further when Manjeet's powerful kick was well blocked by the Salgaocar custodian Siddi but the ball deflected off his gloves to Surjit who lobbed it over the goalkeeper's head.

Both JCT and Salgaocar now have six points each but the Goans are at the fourth position, six places ahead of the Punjab outfit, on the points table.

JCT, Punjab's premier soccer team, will next play another Goan side Vasco Sports Club at the same venue on February 2.
