A host of foreign coaches -- none of them a big name in the game -- have applied for the job of coach of the Indian football team.

The All-India Football Federation received applications from 25 coaches who claim they can do a better job than present coach Stephen Constantine.

Constantine's contract runs out in June and it is unlikely that the AIFF will extend the British coach's tenure.

AIFF sources told rediff.com that a shortlist of ten caches has been drawn up from the applicants, but it does not mean the new coach would be picked from among them.

The shortlisted coaches are from Brazil (3), South Africa (2), Australia, Poland, Romania, the U.S. and Morocco.

The AIFF is not excited about any of the applications as most of them only have the experience of coaching club and junior national sides, and not national teams.

But most of them have coveted credentials, including UEFA license and German certificates.
