Kolkata giants East Bengal struck in the second half to prevail 2-0 over George Telegraph in a Kolkata Senior Division football league outing on Wednesday.

Skipper Alvito D'Cunha and substitute Asim Biswas found the target for the winners in the one-sided match.

Alvito put East Bengal ahead in the 69th minute when he latched on to a loose ball inside the opponent's half and unleashed a left-footer that dropped before the George Telegraph goalkeeper and went in.

The winners scored the insurance goal six minutes later when Asim Biswas tapped home a Vincent Pires corner from the left flank.
