Indian pugilists continued their excellent showing in 29th King's Cup boxing championships in Bangkok, Thailand, with three of them reaching the finals on Monday.

Dinesh Kumar's loss to Abdurahmanov Sherzod in the 81 kg category was the only disappointment of the day for the Indians.

Dinesh was outscored in the lopsided encounter.

National Games champion Narjit Singh beat Mongolia's Dorimyamboo Otgonbalia 30-12 to book a final berth in the 54 kg category.

Vijender, on the other hand, defeated Korea's Kim Jae Ki 19-14 in an evenly contested match to move into the final of the 75 kg category.

In another semi-final bout, Jitender Kumar thumped Kim Dae Sung of South Korea in the 51 kg class of the championships, which allows all participating countries to gauge their strengths prior to pre-Olympic qualification tournaments for Beijing 2008.

This is going to be India's best ever performance in the tournament, according to Indian Amateur Boxing Federation secretary Col P K Muralidharan Raja.
