Brazil's Sao Paulo Football Club asserted their supremacy by overrunning Mohammedan Sporting Club 6-0 in a Super Soccer exhibition series match in Kolkata in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.

After scoring just one goal in the first half, the Brazilian club pumped in as many as five more in the second at the J R D Tata Sports complex.

The team, led by Marco Antonio, dominated the proceedings throughout with their silken skills and kept the Kolkata outfit under pressure right from the word go.

The black and white brigade went into a defensive shell from the beginning, thus allowing Sao Paulo to gain control of the midfield. Mohammedan custodian Gopal Das displayed good skill under the bar saving several accurate shots.

Sao Paulo, however, surged ahead through a 20-yarder by mid-fielder Anderson Hernanes in the 42nd minute.

Failing to keep pace with the visiting team, who perfected their moves with accurate passes, Mohammedan totally surrendered in the second half.

Sao Paulo's second goal came just three minutes into the second half when mid-fielder Francisco Alex, receiving a cross inside of the box, placed the ball neatly into the goal.

Alex increased the tally to 3-0 in the 64th minute, while just four minutes later, striker Pablo converted another good pass on the top of the box by hitting a powerful shot past the Mohammdean custodian to make it 4-0.

Andre and Hernanes scored the fifth and sixth goals for Sao Paulo, in the 77th and 92nd minutes, to make the final score 6-0 as Mohammedan's custodian Nasibul Haque, who replaced an injured Das in the second half, was completely beaten.
