Former French Open women's champion Anastasia Myskina has withdrawn from Wimbledon because of a foot injury, the tournament's referee said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Russian has been struggling with a toe problem this year and was knocked out of the first round of the French Open 6-1, 6-0 by Meghann Shaughnessy.

The men's draw for Wimbledon, which starts on June 25, will be without Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan, who has not missed the grass Grand Slam for eight years. He is nursing a wrist injury.

Zheng Jie of China who has an ankle injury and Italy's Romina Oprandi (arm) will be replaced, along with Myskina by Colombia's Catalina Castano, Melinda Czink of Hungary and Anna Smashnova of Israel.

Italy's Davide Sanguinetti who retired injured in the first round at the Queen's warm-up tournament on Monday with a knee injury has been lined up to replace Paradorn, the statement said.
