Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has said his current squad is the best he has ever had since becoming manager at Old Trafford 21 years ago.
The Manchester United Web site (www.manutd.com) quoted Ferguson as saying after United's 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday: "I believe this is the strongest squad I've ever had.
"We have the young players led by Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo and they have now been joined by the likes of Carlos Tevez, Nani and Anderson."
Ferguson also praised Ryan Giggs, now the old man of the team who will be 34 at the end of the month.
"I thought Ryan was absolutely fantastic today, particularly in the second half," said Ferguson.
"You look at him today and see the freshness he shows, I think he can go on for years."
