Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez put a 15 million pound price tag on striker Peter Crouch on Thursday and said he could leave at the end of the season.
Crouch, who joined from Southampton in 2005, has struggled to nail down a place in Liverpool's first team and Benitez said he would not stand in his way if he decided to leave.
"He is a good player and a good professional and he wants to play every week," Benitez told Liverpool's Web site (www.liverpoolfc.tv).
"We know that Portsmouth and other clubs are linked with him in the press but as of this moment we haven't received any official offer.
"If we receive an offer we will talk because I want the best for Crouch and the best for the club. I think 15 million pounds would be a good price."
Crouch, who has scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for his country, has started just nine Premier League matches this season, scoring five goals.
Benitez also said that Australia midfielder Harry Kewell would be released at the end of the season.
