Germany squandered a two-goal lead at home to Belarus on Tuesday to draw 2-2 in their penultimate friendly before Euro 2008.

Miroslav Klose scored for the triple European champions in the 11th minute when he pounced from close range after a fine pass by co-striker Lukas Podolski.

Germany added a second 12 minutes later when David Odonkor's right-wing cross bounced in off Vladimir Korytko's foot for an own goal.

Belarus, who failed to qualify for Euro 2008, pulled one back through Vitali Bulyga in the 61st minute.

Bulyga then equalised with two minutes to go, dribbling past defender Christoph Metzelder before beating keeper Jens Lehmann who had kept the hosts afloat with a couple of excellent saves.

"Some of the players were tired today ... they have trained very hard in the past few days and you could see that," Germany coach Joachim Loew told reporters.

"In the first half we found our flow at times but clearly less so in the second," added Loew who took off both strikers and all four midfielders during the second period.

Germany play Serbia in their last Euro 2008 warmup on Saturday.

Euro 2008, jointly hosted by Austria and Switzerland, starts on June 7.

Germany are in Group B with Poland, Austria and Croatia.
