		The capital city of Male is, however, not off limits. It is a tiny, spotless city of mosques and shops. Prayer times are strictly observed and shops close for 15 minutes during namaz. The few cars, that the islanders own, coast along the tiny, narrow streets of the densely populated capital. Attractions are few but charming. The golden dome in the background belongs to Male's famous Friday Mosque.
