Five days on these gorgeous islands, located in the deep, deep blue sea, and one has had a holiday of a lifetime. The absolute isolation of the islands contributes to the fantasy. There are no phones, cars, roads, shops or crowds. Communication is limited to boats. The post comes on speedboats. Ice cream arrives in refrigerated dhows. As does everything from Scotch to bhindis. The only sound that breaks the stillness is the waves breaking on the shore and from time to time a dhow puttering along on the high seas.
