England 235-5 (112 ovs) vs India

Every run seems like gold dust here with India resorting to some tight bowling and defensive field placings. Prior completes his fifty in style as he cuts Ojha past the short thirdman fielder for a boundary.

Chawla continues to spray the ball around, bowling either short or on the pads and he has protection on the boundary in sweeper cover and fine leg fielder on the ropes.

Root flicks a full toss to the fine leg region for one and Prior cuts a short ball to sweeper cover to get two runs.

England have made steady progress in the first part of the morning session, scoring 36 runs in the first 15 overs of the day.

Prior has completed his fifty (53 from 132 balls), while Root looks good to hit a fifty on debut (48 from 151 balls) with the partnership slowly swelling to 96 runs from 44.3 overs.
