Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh wins the toss and elects to bat against Deccan Chargers, in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League, in Chennai on Friday.

The defending champions, who are desperate to get back to winning ways, made two changes. Veteran Mike Hussey was left out and was replaced by fellow Australian pacer Ben Hilfenhaus.

In another shocking change, Chennai dropped Wriddhiman Saha and brought back the struggling Murali Vijay to open the innings.

"We want to put runs on the board and defend it. We have the team but at the end of the day it is about the application and adjusting to the wickets," Dhoni said at the toss.

Meanwhile, Deccan have a couple of changes too. Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Daniel Christian come into the team in place of JP Duminy and Biplab Samantray.
