Strange move from Kolkata Knight Riders to open the bowling with part-time spinner Surya Kumar Yadav, who hardly bowls even in domestic cricket.

The first ball is a long hop and Quinton de Kock hits it through the covers for a boundary to get off the mark and then takes a single.

Murali Vijay is beaten off the fourth ball before he picks a couple through the covers followed by a single.
15:37   Delhi elect to bat vs Kolkata, Kallis replaces Russell
Delhi Daredevils Kevin Pietersen has won the toss and elected to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders.

A big relief for the Delhi camp, who won the toss for the first time in IPL 7. The hosts have made one change to the team with pacer Siddharth Kaul replacing Jaidev Unadkat.

Kolkata also made a single change as they brought back Jacques Kallis in place of Andre Russell. They suffered an unbelievable batting against Rajasthan Royals in their last match, losing six wickets for two runs in the space of eight deliveries.

14:59   Kolkata look for revival against struggling Delhi
Welcome to the coverage of the Indian Premier League match between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders in Delhi.

Reeling under four successive defeats, Kolkata Knight Riders are looking to revive their fading fortunes against another struggling outfit, Delhi Daredevils.

The Knight Riders are having a tough run in the tournament, having suffered four back-to-back defeats. Their biggest concern is the floundering batting line-up, which has failed to find consistency even in the Indian leg.

Skipper Gautam Gambhir may have found his way out of the initial slump -- three consecutive ducks at the start of the tournament -- but hasn't done enough to lead by example.

Gambhir's 54 went in vain on Monday, when a collapse saw hapless KKR losing six wickets for just two runs to slump to 123 for six from 121 for no loss against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad.

With just two wins in seven games, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team is lying at the fifth spot and desperately need a win to inject some life into their campaign.

Delhi Daredevils are also facing similar situation with Kevin Pietersen-led side having suffered their fifth loss on Monday following an eight-wicket hammering against Chennai Super Kings.

With problems aplenty, the Delhi unit is still banking on home games -- against Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab -- for a turnaround in fortunes.
