Pune 152-4 (20 ovs) vs Punjab | SCORECARD

Du Plessis goes after Abbott as he smashes the first ball of the 19th over comfortably over midwicket for a four. Two balls later he chips it over the off-side for two runs before taking a single.

That brings a huge cheer from the Mohali crowd despite rival captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni coming on strike.

Abbott bowls a good short ball which Dhoni defends on the leg side for a single and du Plessis picks one from the last ball as Abbott finishes on one for 38 in four overs.

Mohit starts with the final over with the wicket of du Plessis, who has a wild swing but spoons it high in the air and is caught by the bowler himself. Du Plessis walks back after a good innings of 67 from 53 balls as he made a fluent start before struggling in the middle overs, partly due to extreme heat.

Mohit makes it two in two with the key wicket of Dhoni. The Pune captain hits a low full toss straight into the hands of Maxwell at long-on as he walks back after scoring just one. He could not get any sort of timing on that stroke.

Mohit on a hat-trick and facing him is Irfan Pathan. It is a short ball which Pathan pulls to fine leg for a single to get off the mark.

Ravi Ashwin looks for the reverse paddle but misses it completely and is lucky that the ball was not on the stumps.

He hits the fifth ball to short thirdman for a single and Pathan can only get a single from the last ball. Pathan drives the last ball to long-off as the batsmen look to steal a second but Maxwell's rocket throw from the deep catches Pathan well short.

Mohit finishes with excellent figures of three for 23 in four overs which played a big role in restricting Pune to 152 for seven in their 20 overs.

Pune never got any momentum in their innings as they managed 76 runs in the first ten overs and the same number of the runs in the second half too.

Punjab will be feeling confident after their good spell with the ball in the last few overs and hoping that their batsmen can chase down this total.
