A comfortable chase for West Indies. Russell finishes off in style for the Caribbean side.

Fletcher playing a dream innings to score 84 off only 64 balls.

The Windies completely outplayed Lanka without using the services of their star player Chris Gayle. 

The bowlers first set it up by restricting them for 122 runs and then Fletcher making up for Gayle's absence.

Sri Lanka not only faltered in batting but also dropped two easy catches in the field. 

It's two big wins for the West Indies and they along with New Zealand look the sides two beat in this tournament.

The news is that he will not bat unless needed. That's some disappointment for Bengaluru crowd, who are chanting 'Gayle'.

Chris Gayle was off the field for quite some owing to reasons unknown and the fiery power hitter will not be able to open the batting for the Windies. 

The news is that he will not bat unless needed. That's some disappointment for Bengaluru crowd.

It was referred to the third umpire. 

They were checking for the height. Mathews was down on his back knee by the time the ball hit his top edge. 

However, he was way outside the crease which worked against him and he was ruled out.

The Windies are celebrating with half of Lankan batsmen already dismissed.

He looked good and will be livid with his shot selection. 

However, he was unlucky as the ball seemed to have miss the stumps.

Dilshan hits a six as 13 come off the first over bowled by left-handed batsman Andre Russell. 

West Indies replace pacer Jerome Taylor with Andre Fletcher. 

Sri Lanka also make one change. Pick leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay in place of Jayasuriya.

Dilshan has played the most matches in T20 WCs - 32. He has appeared in all matches for Sri Lanka in World T20s.

Defending champions Sri Lanka face West Indies in Group 1 encounter at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

West Indies have won the toss and chose to field. 

Chris Gayle's fiery knock led the Windies to an emphatic victory over England in Mumbai and another convincing win here will almost seal their berth in the semi-finals. 

The Lankans defeated Afghanistan in their first match courtesy to a fine half-century by senior batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan. 

The Lankans however have lost their premier pacer Lasith Malinga owing to injury and will have to come up with a special effort to contain Gayle & Co.

The pitch looks a batting track and a high scoring encounter can be expected today.
