India 186-4 (40 ovs) vs SL 217-9 | Scorecard

Fernando comes back as the match starts to slip away from India's grasp. The pacer drops short as Rohit pulls it over square leg for a six and then takes a single.

The pacers continue to bowl loose deliveries. Chameera bowls a short ball and Dhoni pulls it through the leg side for a four and then takes two runs through the covers off the next ball followed by two more singles.

The boundaries are coming quite regularly for India. Rohit flicks a full delivery off his pads through midwicket for a four to take India to 182 for four in 38 overs, needing another 36 runs from 12 overs for victory.

Dananjaya comes back for a new spell with Sri Lanka needing a few wickets to make their way back into the contest.

With an asking rate of three runs per over, India in no hurry as they pick just a single from Dananjaya's ninth over, not willing to take a risk and just see him off.

Spin from both ends as Siriwardana comes in from the other end. Dhoni picks a single before Rohit (113) looks for another big hit but mishits it on the leg side as Kapugedera fails to judge it and ends up dropping a simple catch.

India are looking comfortable on 186 for four in 40 overs with Rohit on 114 and Dhoni on 45, having put on 125 runs from 149 balls for the fifth wicket.

They need another 32 runs from the remaining 10 overs for victory.
