India 18-0 (3 ovs) vs SL | Scorecard

Medium pacer Angelo Mathews to open the bowling for Sri Lanka with the wicketkeeper Norshan Dickwella up to the stumps right from the start.

Mathews has a good record against Rohit, having dismissed the right-hander 10 times in total across all three formats in international cricket.

Rohit carefully defends the first two balls before he lashes a wide delivery past point for a four to get off the mark in style.

Mathews then drops short as Rohit pulls it comfortably over midwicket for another four to make a confident start.

Dushmantha Chameera to bowl the second over. KL Rahul runs the third ball down to thirdman for a single to get off the mark and Rohit picks one on the off-side.

Rahul then slaps the fifth ball down the ground for a four to get 15 from the first two overs.

Rahul, on 6, gets a lifeline as Sadeera Samawickrama drops a straightforward chance at point before the right-hander gets an inside edge off the next.

He then drives one past the fielder in the covers for a single and Rohit takes one to sweeper cover for one.

India off to a confident as they reach 18 for no loss in three overs.
