India 285-3 (80 ovs) vs B'desh | Scorecard

Kohli is looking in some touch at the moment. Shakib darts one on the stumps, middle and leg, and all Kohli does is sweetly flick it through midwicket for a lovely boundary to bring up India's 250, in the 71st over.

Kohli in complete control and also looking to pinch the extra run when he can. Some lacklustre fielding from the fielder in the deep as he sends a poor throw and Kohli is aware to steal a second run. He then keeps strike with a single from the last ball while also inching close to his fifty.

A single off the last ball of Shakib's 12th over helps Kohli bring up his half-century, from 70 balls, with the help of five fours.

Kohli has got a double century each in his last three series, against West Indies, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The way he is batting again today, he looks good for another double century and more... against a bowling attack not doing much to challenge him.

Taijul bowls a wide half-volley from over the wicket and it is easy pickings for someone like Kohli, who drills it through the covers for a four.

Part-time leg-spinner Sabbir Rahman is called into the attack with Bangladesh looking to finish off the overs before the second new ball without much damage.

The field is well spread out for Kohli, who is content to take the singles. He has added this facet to his batting lately, of showing patience and grafting in when the opposition goes on the defensive. India pick three easy singles off Rahman's first over as the scoreboard keeps moving for the hosts.

Taijul continues from one end as Kohli flicks it behind square on the leg side for three runs. In the next over from Rahman, the India captain steers it behind point for a couple and then takes a run.

Rahane has also got off to start, while Kohli is doing well to keep the runs coming from his end as he takes his score to 65 from 87 balls.

Taijul produces a beauty to beat Kohli, who is left a bit stunned as the ball grips and also bounces a bit more, going so close to the edge of the bat.

Kohli is manipulating the gaps quite well. He steers a wide one from Taijul past the slip fielder for a couple and then turns one two balls later on the leg side for two more runs followed by a single which brings up the 50-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Kohli has done the bulk of the scoring in the partnership, getting 37 runs of those, while Rahane is on 14.

Overall, Kohli has eased his way to 71 from 102 balls to take India to 285 for three in 80 overs with Bangladesh not taking the second new ball as of now.
