South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the first Test match at Cape Town.

South Africa are going in with four fast bowlers plus the spinner in Keshav Maharaj.

Losing the toss is no bother for India captain Virat Kohli, who admits that he would have also bowled after winning the toss.

The big news is that Jasprit Bumrah has been handed his Test debut as India go in with three fast bowlers. Ravichandran Ashwin is the lone spinner, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya is also included as India go in with five bowlers.
