A single to Rahul before Vijay late cuts Mujeeb for a boundary fine on the off-side, as Afghanistan go on the defensive with no fielders around the bat after that shot.

Rashid comes back, taking over from Nabi, who bowled seven overs for 36 runs.

He starts with three dot balls to Rahul, who then takes a single to deep midwicket before Vijay is beaten off the last ball as just one comes from the over.

Change of ends for Nabi as he takes over from Mujeeb from the other end.

He bowls two dot balls to Rahul, who then cuts a short ball past point for a four before Vijay repeats the shot off the last ball for another boundary.

Without much difficulty, the two batsmen collect easy six runs from Rashid's 14th over.

Fast bowler Wafadar comes back into the attack. The first ball is short and wide as Vijay steers it through thirdman for a four before the rain strikes.

It is a heavy downpour as the players are forced to rush off the field with India sitting pretty on 248 for one in 45.1 overs.

Murali Vijay is batting on 94 from 128 balls, while Rahul has inched his way to 33 from 48 balls with the duo putting on 80 runs for the second wicket with 99 balls.
