Pant continues his aggressive approach as he sweeps Moeen behind square for a one-handed boundary.

He comes down the track and has another swing but fails to get the distance as AB de Villiers runs across from long-on, puts in the slide to complete a stunning catch, holding on despite the tumble very close to the boundary ropes.

Pant walks back after another cracking innings of 61 from 34 balls, having hit five fours and four sixes.

With Pant back in the hut, Chahal manages to bowl a quiet over, giving away just four runs. Infact, new batsman Vijay Shankar is nearly caught in the covers off the last ball but it just sails over him for two runs to the man in the deep.

Umesh comes back as Iyer picks a single before Shankar pulls the third ball fine for a four followed by two more singles.

Siraj comes back and he cripples Delhi with the key wicket of captain Iyer, who flicks it straight to his opposite number Kohli at deep midwicket.

Iyer walks back after a sedate innings of 32 from 35 balls as Delhi lose their fourth wicket.

Young left-hander Abhishek Sharma starts off in great style in IPL, lofting Siraj over mid-off to get off the mark with a four.

An angry Siraj responds with a quick bouncer which the left-hander does well to avoid, and the pacer does well with three dot balls in a row.

The young Abhishek on the attack as he carves Southee over the thirdman region for a four. The left-hander lofts the next ball straight down the ground for a six and then swings the next over midwicket for the same result.

He lofts the last ball over the covers for a couple to race to 24 from nine balls.
