England 198-7 (90 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

India will go back into the dressing room with their noses up on Day at stumps.

England strtyuggled and finally got to 198 for 7 at close of plsy.

The persistence of the Indian bowlers especially in the 3rd session paid off massively as they picked seven wickets for just 75 runs.

Ishant, Bumrah and Jadeja shared the wickets among themselves but it was Shami who was unlucky. He put Moeen under a lot of pressure with his relentless line and length but got no wickets to show for his performance.

Outgoing Cook missed out on a ton

Cook was out for 71 and skipper Joe Root was dismissed for a duck three balls after Cook's exit and Jonny Bairstow followed without scoring soon after.

Bumrah comes in to bowl the last over and Rashid sees him off safely even as he survives an LBW decision off the last ball of the day.

Relentless Shami continues and Buttler gets just two runs off the over.

Bumrah continues. He starts with a single off a leg bye.

Short ball and Rashid plays it past point for a boundary.

Shami continues and boy he strikes Buttler's pads off his second ball.

Buttler is given out by the umpire but he goes for the review.

And what a review that is!

Buttler gets a life as replays show he got an edge.

Buttler then gets a single in the over as Rashid plays out two dots

Bumrah comes into the attack in the dying overs of the day.

He gifts England four byes as the ball runs past keeper Pant.

Nice late swing and the full toss is nicely played by Rashid.

Ishant continues. India still going with the old ball.

Buttler survives a catch as the third umpire says it was not out.

Buttler then caresses the ball through the covers for a four.

Another good ball to end the over.

Jadeja continues and just one run comes off the over.
