Ishant continues as Mayank runs the second ball down to thirdman for one. Gayle then steers a wide full delivery fine on the off-side for a four before he lofts the next ball powerfully straight down the ground for a six and then keeps strike with a single from the last ball.

Gayle then goes after Lamichhane as he swings the first ball square on the leg side for a four. Two balls later, the Kings XI opener smashes it straight down the ground as the bowler fails to stop it on his follow through to concede another boundary.

Lamichhane bowls a poor delivery down the leg side as Gayle rocks back and sweeps it fine on the leg side as Ishant inside the circle dives over the ball to concede another boundary.

The last ball is short and wide as Gayle slaps it through the covers for the fourth boundary of the over, to race to 28 from 11 balls.

With Gayle cutting loose, Delhi introduce strike bowler Kagiso Rabada into the attack as he replaces Ishant.

Mayank has a wild swing off the first ball but misses it completely before he pokes at the next and is beaten again.

He finally manages to throw his wicket away as he attempts another wild heave but skies it high on the off-side and is caught for two. A poor innings from Mayank as he threw his wicket away with a reckless shot, when the need of the hour was to just turn the strike over to Gayle.

David Miller inside edges the first ball he faces which goes fine on the leg side for a four.
