Pacer Mohammed Shami to bowl the first over for Kings XI Punjab. The first ball comes in sharply as Delhi opener Prithvi Shaw is beaten before he takes a single from the fourth ball to get off the mark.

Shikhar Dhawan defends the fifth ball before he is beaten last ball as Shami bowls a superb first over, giving away just a single.

Left-arm pacer Sam Curran to bowl from the other end. Shaw lofts the second ball straight down the ground for a four before he swings the next on the leg side for one.

Curran then strays down the leg side as Dhawan clips it through square leg for a four. He top edges the pull next ball but Shami is unable to judge the ball cleanly as Dhawan survives.

Shami bowls a short ball which Shaw pulls over fine leg for a six before he gets one from the fourth ball.

Shami then gives Dhawan width as the left-hander crunches it over the covers for a four before taking a single off the last ball.
