Punjab 14-1 (2 ovs) vs Delhi | Scorecard

The experienced Ishant Sharma to open the bowling for Delhi Capitals at his home ground the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi.

The first ball is pitched up as KL Rahul clips it on the leg side for a single to get off the mark.

Chris Gayle then taps the next ball on the off-side and takes a quick run as he gets off the mark immediately.

No swing for Ishant with the new ball as Delhi take the slip out after three balls as a watchful Rahul is happy to play with caution in the first over.

The two batsmen have a slight hesitation as Rahul clips it on the leg side where Shikhar Dhawan makes a good diving stop as the two openers turn back after both had come halfway down the pitch.

The last ball is flicked to fine leg for a single as just three runs come from the opening over.

Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane to bowl from the other end. The first ball is flighted up as Rahul lofts it straight back over the bowler's head to welcome him to the crease with a six.

He defends the next ball before sweeping the third ball uppishly over square leg for a four.

Lamichhane then beats Rahul with a flighted delivery, dragging him out of the crease as wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant whips off the bails to stump out the Punjab opener.

Revenge for Lamichhane as Rahul is dismissed for 12 with Punjab losing an early wicket.

Mayank Agarwal is beaten first ball as Lamichhane again gets some sharp turn before the right-hander turns the last ball on the leg side for one.
