Bhuvneshwar drops sort as Russell swats it over the square leg fence for another six.

But the bowler has the last laugh as Russell hits a full toss straight into the hands of Rashid at deep midwicket to perish for 15 from nine balls.

Strange tactics from KKR to send the in-form Russell so late down in the order as he hardly got any time or strike to make an impact.

Debutant Yarra Prithivraj blocks the last ball as Bhuvi concedes 12 runs but manages to pick up the key wicket of Russell.

Rashid to bowl the final over. Chawla swings the first ball over square leg for a four before he defends the next.

KKR 75-4 (9 ovs) vs Sunrisers | Scorecard

Things going from bad to worse for KKR. Captain Karthik, who had earlier escaped a close run out chance, this time perishes in the same fashion.

Karthik looks for an impossible second run to square leg as Shankar sprints to the ball from the deep and catches him well short with a good flat throw to wicketkeeper Bairstow right next to the stumps.

Karthik walks back for six as KKR slip to 73 for four, in the ninth over.

15:26   KKR aim to get back to winning ways vs SRH

Welcome to the coverage of the 38th match of the Indian Premier League between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata on Sunday.

A top-heavy Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to tame an Andre Russell-reliant Kolkata Knight Riders in a high pressure clash.

Both teams have eight points though SRH have played one match less.

Sunrisers snapped their three-match losing streak with a win over table leaders Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders now need to do the same having lost their last four games.

The race to play-offs is heating up and both sides know the value of a win.

A rampaging Russell and Nitish Rana almost pulled off a miraculous win on Friday night after the KKR top order left them with too much to do in the death overs. Russell even questioned the team's decision to send him lower down the order when the likes of Robin Uthappa struggled.

The hosts too have concerns of their own, mainly their over-reliance on openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, who will be leaving at the end of the week to join England's World Cup.

When the opening duo has fired, SRH have done well but on other occasions the middle-order has let them down. The World Cup-bound Vijay Shankar is due for a big score and so is captain Kane Williamson.
