Left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell to open the bowling for West Indies. Rohit Sharma on strike, as he swats the first ball, short on the body, to deep square leg for a single to get off the mark.

Cottrell gets the ball to jag in sharply but it goes way down the leg side as wicketkeeper Pooran fails to collect it, to concede five wides.

Rahul then steers a wide delivery to thirdman for a single which gets him off the mark.

Some inward movement for Cottrell as Rohit is hit on the pads trying to flick it on the leg side.

Cottrell struggling with his line as the inswinger goes wrong again and Rohit glances the full delivery fine on the leg side for a four.

Rohit then flicks the fifth ball to the fielder at square leg as he misses out on some easy runs before the pacer bowls a wide and he blocks the last ball, to end a long first over.

Left-arm spinner Khary Pierre to open the bowling from the other end. Rahul drives the first ball to long-off for a single and Rohit does the same next ball for another run.

Pierre drops short and wide as Rahul crashes it through the covers for a four and keeps strike with a single from the last ball.
