Guptill has settled down nicely after playing a few good shots. He confidently defends Rabada before he offers no shot to the short ball.

Guptill defends the next few balls before taking a single off the last ball to retain strike.

In the next over, he is again careful with his shot selection. The line from Ngidi is just outside the off-stump as Guptill plays with caution before he lofts a full delivery over the covers for a four.

A slightly short delivery which is a bit wide is punched through the covers by Williamson for three runs as the fielder manages to keep it inside the ropes.

He then confidently plays out the next four deliveries and keeps strike with a single from the last ball.

Ngidi, who bowled four overs for 22 runs, is taken off as Chris Morris is called into the attack.

Guptill slaps a short wide delivery from Morris over the covers for two runs but plays out the rest of the over.

New Zealand have made a good start to reach 43 for one in 10 overs, with Guptill on 26 and Williamson on six.
