SA 91-2 (24 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

De Grandhomme again keeps things in check as he gives away just two singles in his fourth over.

In the next over from Santner, the duo take four singles but are still unable to get the boundary to release some pressure.

Amla decides to break the shackles as he comes down the track to de Grandhomme and hits it mid-on before taking a quick single.

Markram then comes down the track but is hit on the pads by the incoming ball and Amla drives the next to sweeper cover for one.

Markram clips the last ball to fine leg and calls Amla for the second run as the bowler gives away five runs  in the over, including a leg bye.

It's been more than seven overs since South Africa have hit a boundary and it won't be long before they decide to take a chance or two to get their innings back on track.

Even the singles are difficult to come for South Africa. Markram clips Santner to midwicket and sets off for a quick single and is lucky that Williamson misses the direct hit or else he would have been on his way back.

Markram hits the last ball firmly down the ground past the bowler for a four, the first boundary for the Proteas after a long wait of eight overs.
