The umpires will conduct an inspection of the conditions 1030 hours local time, which is 1500 IST.

There was some light drizzle in the morning but it has stopped raining for the last hour or so and the groundstaff have already started work on taking off the covers.

The situation is improving rapidly and if there is no further rain, then the umpires won't take long to start off the game when they conduct their inspection.
