Ind 240-4 (48.2 ovs) vs Aus 236-7 (50 ovs) Scorecard

India beat Australia by 6 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series after well-paced innings by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav.

Both batsmen struck clinical half-tons as India chased down 236 runs on a difficult batting surface.

India lost Dhawan early and soon Kohli, Rohit and Rayudu were back in the hut. But it took some cool-headed, clinical batting from both batsmen as Jadhav and Dhoni stitched up 141 runs for the 5th wicket.

With India needing 5 off the last two overs.

Stoinis comes back in the attack and Dhoni starts the over with a four behind point.

With one needed for victory, Finch brings in his fielders but Dhoni smashes the next ball to deep mid-wicket for a four as India win by 6 wickets.

Coulter-Nile comes back into the attack and Dhoni gets to his 71st ODI fifty with a single.

Jadhav then gets a single off the next ball.

Dhoni and Jadhav now bring the equation down to 13 off 14.

Jadhav then gets a couple to the leg side after Stoinis misfields the ball.

Jadhav then lofts the ball over the long-on for a six.

Cummins comes back in the attack and the Indians are happy to just rotate the strike as they cream the bowling with ease.

Cummins then bowls an unnecessary wide.

A dot to end the over.

Zampa brought back into the attack as India need 28 off 330.

And Australia misfield as Jadhav gets 2 runs off the first ball of the over.

Jadhav then just slams it over cover for a four.

After a couple of dots, Jadhav ends the over with a single. Seven come off the over.

Stoinis continues and the batsmen run quick singles off the first four deliveries.

Short ball next and Jadhav just pulls it down to fine leg for a four.

A single to end the over as nine come off it.
