Another similar appeal for leg before wicket as Rahim is beaten by the googly.

Interestingly, the ball tracker shows that Rahim would have been dismissed off the previous leg before wicket appeal as the impact was in line and ball as going on to hit the stumps. And hold your breath even the second leg before shout would have been ruled in India's favour if they had taken the review.

Forget the reviews, some poor umpiring from the on-field umpire CK Nandan, with both deliveries hitting in line and going on to hit the stumps.

Young Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube will make his debut for India.

image
18:29   All-rounder Dube to debut for India

Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube will make his international debut as he is handed his India cap.

Dube was rewarded with a maiden call-up to the Indian T20 team for his "phenomenal" exploits with the India 'A' team.

The 26-year-old lad made the Indian T20 squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh next month as all-rounder Hardik Pandya is yet to recover from a back surgery.

He pipped Vijay Shankar as the second-choice all-rounder, primarily based because of his big-hitting prowess.

Dube said he had positive vibes about his selection after a successful season, in which he scored 1,012 runs in 16 first-class matches so far.

Dube, who was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs 5 crore, said during his IPL stint last season skipper Virat Kohli had always backed him.

"He (Kohli) always helped and supported me. If I was under pressure or faced any problem, I spoke to him (Kohli) and he would always make me understand."
17:35

The Bangladesh team has arrived at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to take part in the opening T20 match. Match scheduled to begin at 7 pm.
17:33   Will match referee Madugalle call off Delhi T20?

There are reports that ICC match referee is concerned with the visibility at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi and could call off the match if the existing situation prevails.

He is likely to inspect the conditions at 6.30pm IST and could call off the opening T20I due to poor visibility.

Due to low visibility, air traffic at Delhi Airport was also affected as of Sunday afternoon with over 32 flights being diverted.

17:31   India take on Bangladesh in smog-hit Delhi

Welcome to the coverage of the first T20 International between India and Bangladesh in Delhi on Sunday.

Questions have been raised over the rationale behind hosting the match in Delhi at a time when the national capital is battling post-Diwali air pollution.

Despite a thick blanket of smog shrouding New Delhi on Sunday, the first T20 match to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium was not called off.

Due to low visibility, air traffic at Delhi Airport was also affected as of Sunday afternoon with over 32 flights being diverted.

Air pollution levels in the national capital escalated to hazardous and visibility dropped significantly as a thick blanket of smog engulfed several parts of the city on Sunday morning.

Notably, for the first time in this season, the Air Quality Index (AQI) docked as high as 625 at 10am IST in the morning despite light drizzle in the early hours.

The visiting side is not complaining but pollution, the resultant health concerns and the ban imposed on Bangladesh's iconic all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan just before the tour has definitely hogged more limelight in the build-up to the three-match series.

The teams are ready to battle it out and with no established name figuring in India's bowling department, it will be an opportunity for Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube, his statemate Shardul Thakur and Rajasthan's Deepak Chahar to show what they bring to the table.

Stand-in captain Rohit Sharma is in perilous form and he would look to carry his Test form into the shortest format.

Among others, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Krunal Pandya and local boy Rishabh Pant look certainty in the middle order. If Shivam Dube is handed his much-awaited India debut, he will have to be placed up in the batting order, considering his big-hitting ability.

Dube's selection in the playing XI will rule out both Manish Pandey and Sanju Samson because the remaining slots are likely to be taken by Yuzvendra Chahal, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar and Washington Sundar.
